Gastrointestinal Services (GI)
The Gastrointestinal nurses (GI nurses) provide care in both the Endoscopic suite and ambulatory surgery settings. Our endoscopic suite provides the most up to date care and is held to the highest standards that SGNA recommends. We utilize Olympus HD flexible endoscopes for all our endoscopic procedures to ensure our physicians have the best ability to perform all necessary procedures.
The GI nurses identify patient needs, set goals with the patient, and implement nursing interventions as needed. Each patient is a unique individual, therefore care is planned and provided to meet each patient’s specific needs. The perioperative nurse is concerned with the patient’s comfort, needs and safety as well as the physiological and emotional responses throughout the surgical experience.
We provide common and specialized services on an outpatient basis.
Our hours of operation for scheduled outpatient GI services are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
