Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc. (BTLC) announces the sale of the former Lakeshore Hospital campus in Irving, to Gotham Asset Holdings, LLC, a New York-based private operator focused on the redevelopment of commercial and residential properties in New York state and nation-wide. The Contract to Purchase, executed earlier this month, includes the 172,381 sq. ft. former hospital building and 30-acre site.

“It was important to our Board of Directors that this agreement was signed in collaboration with the Town of Hanover,” said BTLC President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Morris. “We are grateful to have worked through this process as partners with Town officials, and reached an agreement which is favorable to all involved. This property has remained vacant since 2020 and it is important to develop this location bringing additional jobs and economic development to the area. At the start of this new year, the sale of this property comes at a good time.”

The Brooks-TLC Hospital System acquired the TLC-Lakeshore Health Center as part of a merger in March 2018. The location ceased operations in February 2020 as a result of a declining population and less patients using services. Brooks-TLC continues to serve communities throughout Northern Chautauqua County from its location in Dunkirk as well as outpatient services in Gowanda and Chemical Dependency Centers in Cassadaga and Derby. Many of the employees from the Lakeshore Hospital campus remain with Brooks-TLC today.
