Unsung Heroes: The Auxiliary of Brooks-TLC
This year, the Auxiliary donated $40,000 raised at the annual Brooks-TLC Golf Tournament and other lobby sale fundraisers, which was used to purchase Workstations-On-Wheels for clinical staff.
Through thick and thin, the ups and downs, in good years and in bad, the cornerstone of our hospital remains. For over 100 years, The Auxiliary of Brooks-TLC has consistently provided much-needed support in the form of community service and fundraising for the benefit of our hospital and the community we serve.
The vital, unrestricted dollars raised through generous efforts of our Auxiliary allow Brooks-TLC to avail our patients to the latest medical technology and equipment in a comfortable environment. Donations received in years’ past have provided for new laboratory equipment; high efficiency LED lighting in our Surgery Department; new furniture, flooring, and updated décor in the ICU/CICU Waiting Room; new health screening equipment used at a variety health fairs and community outreach programs.
Funds donated to the hospital by the Auxiliary are raised primarily at the annual golf tournament over the summer months. The Auxiliary also sponsors several fundraisers in our lobby, offering a variety of jewelry, books and toys. The Auxiliary is also an active organization within our community, sponsoring the holiday Tree of Lights.
Without the consistent levels of care, support and energy provided by this group, Brooks-TLC would not have the strong foundation we stand on today. New members are always welcome. For information on how to join, contact us using the link at the bottom of this page.
