In accordance with the latest New York State Department of Health guidance, Brooks-TLC Hospital System has loosened some of the restrictions for in-patient visitation.
Effective immediately, visitation is from 12 to 6 p.m., daily, with two persons allowed at a time in the non-COVID-19 patient rooms. Previously, visitation had been from 3 to 6 p.m. with one-designated visitor allowed per room, per day.
Persons visiting any of the BTLC campuses for outpatient services and/or diagnostics may once again bring one designated support person to accompany them.
Patients in the Emergency Department will continue to be allowed one designated support person to accompany them. Additional persons are not allowed to wait in the waiting room.
As a reminder, those persons visiting for adult surgery services may have one designated person for initial intake who may rejoin at discharge. Pediatric surgery patients may have two designated persons accompanying them.
In an end-of-life case – if deemed end-of-life by a provider and is anticipated within 24-hours – two designated persons will be permitted in all areas, including COVID-19 patient rooms.
All visitors, whether visiting inpatients or on campuses for outpatient procedures/diagnostics, must wear a mask over the mouth and nose for the duration of their visit.
Visitors must continue to enter through the Outpatient Entrance near the Emergency Department Entrance and will continue to be screened upon entrance. All visitors are required to show a government-issued form of identification at the screener desk.
Brooks-TLC will continue to announce changes to visitation as updated guidance is issued from the New York State Department of Health.
